Ciao, amici! Sorry I’ve been MIA, but there’s a lot going on in my family. You know I’m now a proud (obnoxiously so) grandmother to the most precious little girl on the planet. (Yes, I sound biased, but it’s my blog, so I can be. But I’m not really because she is amazing!) I honestly don’t know how I get any work done at all. I just want to spend every second with her. I mean, just look at that smile…
In other news, I’ve been hanging out with my dogs (that my son now cares for, as my new home isn’t really conducive to three rowdy Labs). I know this picture doesn’t depict their boisterous spirits, but they were fighting for prime real estate next to Mom. The other two snestled in as close as they could get. That’s my leg at the bottom. Casey is plastered to my hip. Lucky is curled up facing the camera, and Max stretched out beside him. It was really just a big huddle of happiness.
With the Keystone Couples series now finished and released, it’s time to turn my attention to other things. Namely, other genres. Before I move on to that news, though, let me thank all of you who have read one or more of the stories. I hope you enjoyed them. By the reviews, I feel like you did, and that delights me. (And MANY THANKS for the wonderful reviews. Your kind words always make my heart soar.) Because I’ve been so busy with my family, I didn’t have time to do a proper tour, but so many of you stepped up to help me promote regardless, and I’m eternally grateful to all of you.

Between the Vines
I have a few more romances saved on my hard drive, but it’s time to move on. At least, for a while. I’ve already completed the first in a new series of suspense novels. Book two is outlined, and book three’s concept is solid and just needs to be fleshed out. I’ll be talking about those over the next few months, but I haven’t decided when I’ll start releasing them. Until then, know that’s what I’m working on.
That, and editing for clients.
And I still have that surprise coming later this year!
If things go according to plan, I’ll have completed a short work that’s a prequel to the series by the end of April and will release it hopefully in May to whet your appetites for the new series. Maybe I’ll start doing my Two-Paragraph Tuesdays again to share snippets. Let me know if that interests you.
So, I think you’re all caught up now. I’ve been out of touch and missed so much. Why don’t you leave a comment and tell me what’s going on in your world? Grazie!
Have a creative one, Ms. Staci:)

Congratulations on finishing your series (which I’ve added to my reading list). A suspense series sounds good, and I also like the idea of sharing snippets. Have a great week!

Sorry I’m late to the party, Staci, but it doesn’t make that grandbaby of yours any less adorable! Great pic! And I enjoyed reading about all you’ve been up to or plan to get up to soon! Good luck with everything on your agenda, and give that sweet baby a hug from this granny in Florida! 😀 ❤

Hi Staci, nice to meet you. Thanks for stopping by. I know so many of your friends who have commented, so I’m surprised we haven’t met. Your grandbaby is adorable. I would get nothing done. Having three fur babies, 2 cats and a dog, I’m pretty much there already. Congratulations on finishing your series. How impressive. You are a bundle of energy. Have a wonderful week.

Hi, Marsha. Pleased to meet you! I’m as surprised as you that we haven’t crossed paths before.
I’m not far behind in the pet department, but I no longer have the dogs full time. And when I’m with my daughter (or when she’s with me), there’s one cat (who’s far less work than the three Labs). I really don’t know how you do it.
Thanks for the kind words. Have a lovely weekend!

Your granddaughter’s smile must melt hearts wherever she goes ❤ and your fur-babies are adorable! I’m happy to hear you’re working on a new series- can’t wait. Yes, I vote for snippets!
We’ve had my grandson staying with us for the last six months while my daughter gets a well-deserved rest and prepares for her next big adventure. It’s been wonderful reconnecting with him after all the years apart. He’s almost six feet now and his voice has changed- a young man in the making.
On the writing front, I’m working on a YA duet that’s tugging on my heartstrings. I hope it does the same for readers 🙂

How wonderful that you’ve had this time with your grandson. I hope your daughter’s new chapter leads to many good things.
As for your new series, I have no doubt it will be as engaging as all your other work. Cheering you on!
And thanks for the kind words about Lulu and my doggos. 💕

By all means, post snippets, Staci. Sounds like you’ve been a busy bee. All good things, which is great. Your new grand baby is adorable (but you knew that already ;-)). As for me, I was racing toward the finish line of my next Grafton County novel when the flu body-slammed me. Rather than fight through it like I usually do, I figured I’d work the morning, then rest. 🙂

The puppers are definitely a lot to handle, but they’re family and I love them, so they’re worth it. (Of that, I’m sure you had no doubt.) Lulu has had me smiling since I found out I was going to be a grandma, and it gets better every day.
So glad you enjoyed the series. Thanks for all your support!

Being a grandmother IS wonderful. Nothing like it.
It feels like it’s been a whirlwind for the last few years. I wouldn’t mind things calming down a bit. But I’m certainly going to enjoy family time (human and pet) while I can. Thanks, Judi!

Who wouldn’t be distracted by such a cutie. I know I my grandsons have that influence on me.
I have been busy these past months, but not with my personal writing. I’ve done sever RFP (request for proposals) and reports for my new job.
Add our move to the new state, sick puppy, and freelancing for my old company and well… It’s been busy.
Loved seeing your dogs. They looked happy to see you too.
I hope to have life settle down soon and get a better schedule.
Can’t wait for the upcoming series and definitely do the teaser Tuesday!

So funny you think that because I feel like I don’t do anything! (Well, I do some things, but certainly never enough.) I guess our perceptions of ourselves and others is always personally critical and impressed by everyone else. (Probably why comparisons aren’t healthy. We’re biased judges.)
Thanks for all the kind words, Craig.
