New #shortstory: THAT’S A BUNCH OF BULL @vocal_creators

Ciao, amici! We’re on week five of the eight-week challenge. I’m more than halfway there, and I’m still on target.

This week’s theme was to write a story with some kind of bull in it. I was afraid I wasn’t going to come up with anything. I was stumped for the longest time. I know this isn’t my best submission, but I did make the deadline and meet the demands of the challenge. The subjects are getting harder. Or harder for me, anyway. I’m not happy with my story, but I am (mostly) pleased that I came up with something.

Once again, a quick reminder: The entries are judged by a qualified panel, but if there’s a tie, votes are the tie-breaker, so if you click the [♡] button, you might be doing me a favor.

If you’re interested in reading my admittedly shakey take on the “bull” prompt (That’s a Bunch of Bull), you can find it here.

And if you missed any of my stories and would like to read them, you can check out my full Vocal library here.

As always, I appreciate the support, and if you read the story, I hope you enjoy it. Grazie!

    • If I had longer word count, I could have described the bar in more detail. I can see it so clearly in my head. But we’re limited in words (which is probably for the best, or I’d go on forever). I agree; western worlds are so colorful.

  2. You did an awesome job with the prompt. You might not have liked it as much as your reading audience but I thought your story was excellent. I really enjoyed the bond between the brothers and the banter between Chase and Alex’s friends. Of course I gave it a heart1

    • Brothers. They fight. They also bail each other out, no matter what. Throw alcohol and ex-girlfriends into the mix, and it’s bound to be disastrous. I didn’t even need the bull for a fiasco, but it was a requirement. lol

      Thanks, Teri.
