Ciao, amici! Yep, you read the title right. I’ve got FIVE cover reveals to share today (six if you count the boxed set cover), all penned under my alter ego’s name, D.L. Cross. And I’ve got definitive release dates, too. Ready?
Here we go!

The Gate, Astral Conspiracy Book 1
He lost his job. Lost his girl. Now it’s all he can do not to lose his life.
Landon Thorne is a disgraced archaeologist, a laughing stock in his field because of his unconventional beliefs — he’s an ancient astronaut theorist. No one takes him seriously.
Until an alien armada targets Earth.
Now he’s in high demand by the U.S. government. And someone far more sinister.
Mysterious mercenaries, government agents, and Landon vie for the lead in a race across two continents to the Gate of the Gods, the one place on the planet that might give humans an advantage over the Astrals. But no one is prepared for what they’ll find.
And not everyone will make it out alive.
The Stones, Astral Conspiracy Book 2
He’s running from Astrals. Running with the government. And running toward the end of the world.
Landon Thorne belongs to an elite group — he’s one of a few people ever to have accessed the Akashic Record. From that well of infinite truth springs knowledge of a weapon he can use to defend the Earth. And its location.
The Astrals want to stop him. The government wants to use him. Even his so-called allies want to control him.
Through it all, he has one purpose. One compulsion. He’s drawn to the Georgia Guidestones.
His journey is fraught with dangers — both human and alien — but when Landon finally reaches the Stones, even he is surprised by what he finds. If he can decipher the code, he could save the world.
If he can’t? His discovery may destroy him. It may destroy them all.
The Nine, Astral Conspiracy Book 3
He can’t trust his allies, won’t trust his enemies. Now he fears he shouldn’t even trust himself.
Landon Thorne is convinced the key to defeating the Astrals is in the vault — a repository of ancient artifacts, origins unknown, covered with as-yet undeciphered glyphs. He’s also convinced he’s the one person on the planet destined to translate the markings.
But strange, frightening things happen every time he gets close to the relics.
His allies decide it’s not safe to let him near the vault, so they force him to take a new mission in Astral-controlled territory. They narrowly escape only to be captured by the Nine — the nefarious organization he’s been running from.
Their leader makes him an offer he can’t refuse — study the Dropa Stones for the answers they seek. Or else. To do that, he needs a cipher. And there’s only one place he can get it.
Getting in will be difficult enough. Getting out may prove impossible.
The Twins, Astral Conspiracy Book 4
They took the world’s best hope. Took the father of her children. Now she’ll take revenge.
Landon Thorne was abducted by the Astrals. If there were still newspapers, that definitely would have been a front-page headline. But Reverie Sterling doesn’t have time to dwell on his absence. She has twins to raise in this dystopian world.
Twins with psychic powers.
She was trained to rise to any challenge, so that’s what she does. Vowing revenge against the Astrals, she partners with an unlikely ally — the Nine, the mysterious organization that’s been thwarting the Resistance since Astral Day.
The tenuous alliance converges on Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. Or rather, what’s left of it. There they wage a war against local zealots and Astral warriors. For some, it’s the last stand.
Reverie thinks she’s protecting her children. Too late, she realizes the twins have more power than anyone — and she’s the one who needs protecting.
The Lab, Astral Conspiracy Book 5
One last mission. One last stand. One last hope.
Time is running out for the planet, and Reverie Sterling — one of the leaders of the Resistance — feels each tick of the clock. Her twins insist on traveling to Illinois to find Jovian, their paternal grandfather, who’s been communicating with them telepathically. He swears he has all the answers they’ve been searching for.
He does, but they come at a cost. A steep cost.
Now Reverie and the Resistance must make their last stand. The Astrals have judged humanity and found it lacking. Annihilation is imminent unless Jovian can deliver on his promise.
Earth’s best chance is deep in his laboratory under Monks Mound.
And the old man has one last surprise that no one is expecting.
We talked about a binge drop last time. This is what I mean.

The Gate has already been released once, but the publisher pulled it down to do a binge drop. So, it’s being re-released Friday, July 17. The following Tuesday—July 21—the rest of the series will all drop at once. If you’re dying to know what happens to Landon and the rest of them, you won’t have to wait; you can read the rest of the series just a few days later. And this is the best kind of binge because it doesn’t impact your waistline!
All jokes aside, the entire collection will be available on July 21.

So, as you might imagine, it’s been a busy week. I completed my proof read of that massive book (not mine), started preparing my marketing materials for Astral Conspiracy, and nearly finished revising a novel (mine) that… well, more about that project another time. Six covers (five books and a series cover) seems like more than enough for one day.
Today, I promised you a colorful post, and I think I delivered. I’m very pleased with how these turned out. I hope everyone else likes them as much as I do.
I don’t have links yet, but I will soon. And I’ll be talking about all these books in more detail in the coming days, so I’ll include the links then. But for now, I hope you enjoy the eye candy!
Saluti!
Holy cow! All at once! You ROCK! (and yes, I know I’m, like, months behind on blog catchup (or catsup)) Great covers! My TBR is quivering with anticipation (or it’s threatening to bury me 🙂 )

My TBR is an avalanche threatening to land on my head. Believe me, I get it. But thanks for the support, Julie!

I really appreciate that! Thanks, Sheri. (If you got a weird notification before this one, I apologize. I thought I was answering a comment about a guest’s book initially.)

What a great line-up, Staci. Your covers are beautiful. I’m such a sucker for beautiful covers. Congrats!

Thank you. I was very pleased with how they turned out and heaped effusive praise on the designer. I always say we shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, but I know a good cover is like a gatekeeper for the content inside. If the cover isn’t compelling, most people don’t go any further. So I think this time, readers will go past the first barrier to entry. Hoping they like the blurbs, too. And then the stories themselves!

I totally agree that covers are the gateway. I try not to judge a book by its cover, but a beautiful cover will make me oooh and aaaah and read the blurb.

Well, I hope these covers entice people to the blurb and beyond. I’ve had bad covers before and know they hurt sales. Your covers are stunning, so I’m sure you’ve never had that problem.

Oh, but I did. When I started out, I did my own covers and they were NOT appealing. As soon as I was able, I hired a professional and had most of them redone. It made a difference. 🙂

Well, your current covers are stunning. One of my publishers is redoing one of my series and already redid another series. The one that’s done I’m ambivalent about. The one that’s being redone I can’t wait to share. I always hated the initial covers and love the concept for the new ones. I guess we’ll see.
But I do like these sci-fi covers. Hands down the best I ever had upon initial release.

Wow, Staci, ALL of these covers are stunning, but I think my personal favorite is “The Stones!” Congrats on the releases. You are going to be a very busy girl promoting this series!

I didn’t get to choose any of the colors, but that one is near and dear to my heart because it’s black and gold, which (if you don’t know) are Steelers, Penguins, and Pirates colors. A girl has to love her hometown teams, right?
Thanks, Jan.

Fabulous news, Staci!! I’m so eager to read the next four books, and I’ll be re-reading #1, too, just to set the scene again. What a cool idea. Binge-dropping! (Though it would definitely mean some serious binge-writing, too, in my case!) I’ll be grabbing each of these as they become available, for sure.
And as for those covers, color me gobsmacked! They are simply gorgeous, and do a great job of catching the eye, and hinting to what’s within. Love them!
Congratulations, and my very best wishes for great success with this one. I think it’s in the cards! 🙂 Sharing! 🙂 ❤

Thank you so much, Marcia. Your level of enthusiasm for my work leaves me giddy. It’s exactly what every author hopes for from a reader. I hope the stories themselves live up to your expectations.

Having already read the first one before it got pulled for the Big Binge, I’m pretty darn sure I will. I’ll be reading them on my Kindle, but I plan to buy the whole set in print, too, so I’ll have them for my library shelves. 😀 ❤

Thanks, Teri. I love them, too.
I’m not trying to be cryptic about my other projects. I just want to give Astral the attention it deserves before talking about the next thing I’m doing. But I will say these five books I featured today will not be my only releases this year.

I know the release of this series has been a long time coming. Congratulations, Staci, The covers are amazing! The thought of having so many books releasing at once is mind boggling to me. I’m sure you have been crazy busy. I look forward to reading the entire series!

It’s mind-boggling to me, too. I guess the theory is that viewers love to binge-watch shows, so maybe readers will want to binge-read books. I know when I find a series I love, I hate waiting for the next release (sometimes more than a year) and just want to read the next immediately. I hope people like the books enough that they want to move onto the subsequent stories.
And not that I plan on dying anytime soon, but I read Norman Mailor’s Harlot’s Ghost (which was over 1300 pages) only to find it didn’t end there. And he died before he finished the sequel, so now I’ll never know what happens. Granted, I don’t have the following he did, but at least that won’t happen to any of my readers if anything tragic would happen. (Geez. Bleak, much? That went dark fast. Sorry!)
Thanks, Mae.

Nothing wrong with reading slow or spreading the reading out. That just means you get to spend longer with something you love. (Well, I hope you love them. Fingers crossed.)
Thanks, Craig. I’m delighted to know I’ve captured your interest.
