Ciao, amici! Of all the things we writers do, perhaps the sexiest is a cover reveal.
Today, I’d like to share with you the cover for Mae Clair’s Eventide.
Mae is one of my favorite authors. (Heck, she’s one of my favorite people.) Her Hode’s Hill series is one of my favorite trilogies. (I admit it; I’ve seen an advanced copy of Eventide and it’s fabulous.) Of course I want to help her spread the word.
Without further ado, here’s her latest cover:

Tell me that doesn’t just exude the “creepy” factor. As moody and ominous as the cover is, the story’s even better. Here’s the blurb:
The darkness is coming . . .
The old house near Hode’s Hill, Pennsylvania is a place for Madison Hewitt to start over—to put the trauma of her husband’s murder, and her subsequent breakdown, behind her. She isn’t bothered by a burial plot on the property, or the mysterious, sealed cistern in the basement. Not at first. Even the presence of cold spots and strange odors could be fabrications of her still troubled mind. But how to explain her slashed tires, or the ominous messages that grow ever more threatening?
Convinced the answer lies in the past, Madison delves into the history of the home’s original owners, only to discover the origin of a powerful evil. An entity that may be connected to a series of gruesome attacks that have left police baffled. No matter where she turns—past or present—terror lingers just a step away, spurred on by a twisted obsession that can only be satisfied through death…
I can’t wait for her to release it. (December 31 doesn’t come soon enough.) I’ve already preordered my copy. You can, too. Here’s the universal link. You can also find information for books one and two (Cusp of Night and End of Day, respectively) on her website or on her publisher’s.
I hope you’ll join me in congratulating Mae and sharing her news all over social media.
Mae, wishing you all the best with this one.

Hi, Mae! Congratulations! I love all your covers and this one’s no exception. The blurb is fascinating. The villain in the 3rd book of my Fantasy Angels Series is called ‘The Darkness’ and ‘The Darkness is coming’ is one of my tag lines.🙂 I just thought that was a cool coincidence. I have your 1st book in my Kindle on line to be read and I’m looking forward to reading it.😀

Can’t wait until I get my copy … all the way until December?! Dang. Congrats! Love the cover!

Frustrating, isn’t it? She wasn’t done with book one, and I was asking about book two. And then the same, two to three. Now, since I’ve had a sneak peek at Eventide, I’m already nagging her about her next work. (She must find me so annoying.) Thanks, Julie.

I predict a lot of people will read this one in one sitting. Good (because it’s a page-turner). Bad (because then it’s over). I look forward to your review once you’ve read it. 🙂

Major congrats, Mae! I agree with Staci, you’re definitely one of my go-to authors. I can’t wait to get my grubby (gardening :)) hands on Eventide this December!

Your garden should be dormant by then, so your hands will be clean enough to read without getting anything dirty. LOL
You’ll really love it, Jacquie. Thanks for showing your support.

I love the idea of cover reveals being sexy, Staci;) This is a great cover and that house really catches my eye. I have my copy ordered and it will be my first read in 2020.

Covers are eye candy. I readily admit, I don’t let them sway me in my decision to read a book, but they’re so fun to reveal and discuss and analyze. This series has particularly good covers. (As is fitting, since they’re particularly good books.) I know you’ll love it when you get it, Denise.
Thanks for visiting!

I am so bad. And so shallow. Covers do sway me. I’m not sure I can be saved, LOL.
I am however, delighted beyond measure that my covers resonate with you. And my books, too. So happy to be on your blog today!

Doggone! Dec. 31 is FOREVER to wait. I want to read this book, the sooner, the better! I pre-ordered it, but that didn’t make it fly into my Kindle any faster(:

If only preorders were early deliveries, huh? It’s worth the wait, Judi. 🙂

The wonderful friendships garnered along the way are one of the best things about this journey, aren’t they? Writers are such supportive, giving people and even if we never meet some of them face to face, they still enrich our lives even beyond the way their books impact us. 🙂 ❤

Staci, I agree with you. Mae is one of my favorite authors and she is a wonderful person. I’ve also seen an advanced copy and can guarantee readers will find it equally intriguing as the first two of the series. In fact, this one may be my favorite.

I have a connection to Gabriel, so I’ll always turn to End of Day. But it’s so hard to pick among the three books for a favorite. They’re all wonderful. I just know this one is going to be a hit.

It’s an appropriately creepy cover (and pretty, too). A MYSTERIOUS, SEALED CISTERN IN THE BASEMENT? Yikes! I enjoyed the first two Hode’s Hill books. I’m sure this one will be just as great.
