Ciao, amici! I bet you’re not used to so many posts from me in one week. It’s just that there’s so much to talk about right now.
Today, we’re leaving the sci-fi genre behind to spotlight another of my favorites: romantic suspense. And I’ve got a cover reveal from one of my favorite authors, Joan Hall.
Without further ado, I give you the cover of book three of her Driscoll Lake series, Unclear Purposes.
Blurb:
Some people take secrets to the grave…
Three years after her husband’s murder, Christine Lawrence still struggles for balance. She has a rewarding career and a close circle of friends but feels oddly unfulfilled. Worse, the close relationship she once had with her teenage daughter has grown increasingly strained.
Former FBI agent, Vince Green, is battling demons of his own—painful secrets that drove him from Driscoll Lake. Newly resettled in the small town, he makes his living as a private investigator.
When Vince and Christine cross paths, stumbling over the body of a murder victim, he’s forced to confront memories he thought long buried. The circumstances surrounding the killing are eerily similar to a victim from his past.
As the body count continues to rise, Christine finds herself drawn to Vince. With a murderer stalking the streets of Driscoll Lake, neither is aware the killer has targeted her as the next victim—or that Vince’s past is key to unmasking a disturbed and deadly killer.
This is a stand-alone novel, but you’re not going to want to stop with just one book. I highly recommend books one and two of the series, as well.

Boy, am I slow – just noticed the outline of a woman’s head on the cover. I blame it on the cold meds.

I’m excited about it, Michele. Sometimes I wondered if I would get through this one, but I think it’s a stronger story than if I’d finished it months ago.

The cover is pretty, and I like how all the covers of the series relate to each other to make a cohesive theme. Intriguing blurb!

Thanks, Priscilla. I love it when the covers all relate, too.

Thank you, Priscilla. I wanted a “lake” theme since the name of the town is Driscoll Lake. Appreciate you visiting today!

I love these covers that only have a hint of a person on them, Joan. Very cool! And seeing the three of them side by side really shows the connection in the series. Thanks for sharing, Staci. I’m looking forward to reading these. 🙂 ❤

You’ve come a long way and you should be very proud. I don’t know if I can pick a favorite (I love Matt, Brian, and Vince), but this is an excellent way to end a series. So happy for you.

It’s hard to pick. I love Brian but Matt and Vince are also great.
