Ciao, amici! This is Thanksgiving week here in the United States, and as you’re reading this, I’m either preparing or lying in bed thinking about everything I have to do. Or maybe I’m finally sleeping, exhausted with all that’s going on.
But I don’t mind at all. My family will all be together for the holiday, and I’m feeling blessed.
I won’t be around much this week (see the above mentioned busyness), but I wanted to provide one last quote and series of links before I take the week off. I’m drawing on one of my favorite authors, Charles Dickens, and his wise words:
Reflect upon your present blessings, of which every man has plenty;
not on your past misfortunes, of which all men have some.
I love that quote. And not just for this time of year, but for everyday.
Whether you are in the US and celebrating or in another country, I will be thinking of you. Please know I am grateful for you and wishing you well.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Wonderful quote, Staci, and a peaceful reminder as the holiday season descends in relentless busyness. Thanks for the line-up of links, too. Enjoy the joy of the season. 🙂

Thanks! I appreciate that.
And it was a lovely holiday. Sorry to see family leave, but time marches on. At least Christmas is around the corner and they’ll be back soon. I hope you had a wonderful one (assuming you’re in the US).

Yes, I had a good day. Except for migraine inducing barking next door…
I’m in the DC area, so yes. LOL, and desperately trying to drain myself out of the swamp. 😉 Hugs.

I feel like you’ve been dealing with more migraines than anyone should have to. So sorry. Wishing you a headache-free December.

I will probably be very scarce this week as well. I’m on vacation, hoping to get some writing done. Also have a number of errands, and of course, I’m looking forward to Thanksgiving. Wishing you and your family a happy Turkey day!

I smiled reading your post. I do the same thing planning my holiday while laying in bed…not sleeping. It’s all worth like you said when the family comes together. What a great quote showing we have the choice what to focus on. Have a wonderful week Staci filled with family and love. Happy Thanksgiving!

I love to be in the kitchen. I’m going to make the kids help. Well, at least my daughter. (My son hates to cook, but my daughter enjoys it.) And my husband is a whiz in the kitchen, so I’m all set. Wishing you and yours a happy holiday.

It’s going to be great. I’ll be up late Wednesday baking, but the results are pretty popular.
