Happy National Author’s Day!

Ciao, amici! I’ll be keeping this one short and sweet. It’s National Author’s Day, so I wanted to do a few things.

  1. Wish all authors, and particularly my author friends, a happy day.
  2. Encourage readers to celebrate by reading a book by a new-to-you author.
  3. Ask you to honor authors today by leaving thoughtful reviews.

That’s it. I’ve had family in town for a few days, so I’ve been mostly offline and I have a lot of catching up to do. I’ll be visiting the aforementioned author friends on their blogs, and then I’ll be playing catch up at work.

It’s a good thing I like my job!ย

Happy National Author’s Day! Have a good one!

    • You know, I thought that exact thing about NaNo. I even wondered if that’s why November was chosen or if NaNo was why the Author’s Day date was chosen, but I was too busy to look up the history of either.

I had a fabulous time during the visit. Thanks for asking. And thanks so much for dropping by!

    • It was serendipity that I learned of it. I was going to go to the All Saints Day vigil, but I opted to go in the morning, instead. I left earlier than usual because I was concerned about driving in the dark and in the rain during rush hour, especially with school bus traffic. And I had on a radio station that I don’t always listen to. All of those events were the perfect storm that led me to the DJ mentioning what day it was. It’s like I was supposed to hear it.

The visit was wonderful and too fast and I’m sad it’s already over. Already looking forward to the next one. Thanks for asking.

    • Nothing wrong with returning to your favorites. They were new to you at some point until you tried their works.

For the record, my TBRL is overflowing with new-to-me authors, too. And as I work through them, I’m finding I’m really enjoying some of them.
