Ciao, amici! I’m really excited to welcome Marcia Meara here today. She’s all over the web making a huge splash with the cover of her new novella, The Emissary 2: To Love Somebody.
Marcia is a talented author and super generous to the writing community. Let’s show her some blog love today, here and at her site. If you aren’t already following her, don’t forget to hit that follow button!
And now, here she is with her new cover and a few words about the story.
COMING SOON!
They’re back!
Jake and Dodger are at it again,
accompanied by their boss, the archangel Azrael.
I am so excited, I can hardly stand it. Once again, Nicki Forde Graphics Design has come up with a cover that does exactly what I wanted it to do. It provides a great-looking image that clearly links the second novella in my Emissary series with the first one. And it does this by putting Jake’s big, red-and-white semi front and center, angel wings and all, but with a completely different background.
In The Emissary 2: To Love Somebody, Jake and Dodger travel both coasts of Florida, day and night, working their emissarial magic wherever they find souls in trouble. For me, the palm fronds over the truck, the ocean in the background, and the moon shining down are perfect.
I can’t give you an exact release date for The Emissary 2: To Love Sombody yet, as I still have a few more tiny odds and ends to finish up, including the blurb. But I’m 99.9% sure it will be available within a week or two, and I’ll have more to share with you then. In the meantime, what do you think?
My heartfelt thanks to all the wonderful bloggers who have helped me share my new cover with the Immediate World! It’s lovely to be part of such a supportive online community, and every single one of you is special to me. Thank you!
NOTE: This is not a stand-alone novella, so now’s a good time to grab the first one. You can read it in an evening and be all set for The Emissary 2. You’ll find The Emissary 1 on Amazon HERE.
Author Marcia Meara
Marcia Meara lives in central Florida, just north of Orlando, with her husband of over thirty years, four big cats, and two small dachshunds. When not writing or blogging, she spends her time gardening, and enjoying the surprising amount of wildlife that manages to make a home in her suburban yard. At the age of five, Marcia declared she wanted to be an author, and is ecstatic that at age 69, she finally began pursuing that dream. Her belief in the redemptive power of love is a unifying factor in both of her popular series and her poetry. Today, she’s still going strong, and plans to keep on writing until she falls face down on the keyboard, which she figures would be a pretty good way to go!
Marcia has published six novels, one novella, and one book of poetry to date, all of which are available on Amazon:
Wake-Robin Ridge
A Boy Named Rabbit: Wake-Robin Ridge Book 2
Harbinger: Wake-Robin Ridge Book 3
Swamp Ghosts: A Riverbend Novel
Finding Hunter: Riverbend Book 2
That Darkest Place: Riverbend Book 3
The Emissary: A Riverbend Spinoff Novella
Summer Magic: Poems of Life & Love

It’s an angel-mobile, not a truck or a “semi” I absolutely love how the artwork turns the truck itself into an angel..

Ha! Angelmobile. I like it. 😀 Dodger just may adopt that description. The truck and the two angels inside are definitely being watched over by an angel at all times, as they go about the work he has asked them to take on. So glad you like the image! And thanks so much for sharing, too. It’s greatly appreciated, for sure! 🙂

Love the idea of angels among us- I think we all need that ❤

OH, Jake and Dodger aren’t angels, per se, but they ARE emissaries for the overworked angels. Something brand new Azrael dreamed up–hired help. 😀 😉 ❤ And they are pretty much making it up as they go, since the ginormous archangel hasn’t finished putting together the Emissarial Guidelines yet. 🙂

I’ll happily take all the divine intervention I can get, Jacquie.
Marcia has a unique concept with the Emissaries. I think readers will enjoy the stories. I know I did.

I thank you, Jake thanks you, Dodger thanks you, and I a soft whisper from above just floated down, saying “I thank you, too, Staci.” Azrael has spoken. 🙂 ❤

I really like the semi truck angle wing theme for the cover Marica! Best of luck with your new release:)

That’ll be a consistent image throughout the series. It’s really an arresting graphic.

It is and makes you curious.

I’m so pleased that the graphic catches your interest. My designer and I worked hard together to come up with something that really showed who Jake Daughtry is, even if you need to read the book to understand why it works so well. 🙂 And thanks for the well wishes, too! 🙂 ❤

So lovely to be featured on your blog today, Staci! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing my new cover with your readers, and for helping me make this book as good as it can be. Working with you is always a pleasure, and your generous support with my cover reveal is greatly appreciated! I do think Nicki did an amazing job on this one, and tied it into the first perfectly. Since all three of these novellas will be going into one printed book, I definitely wanted the covers to connect to each other, and I think they do.
I hope your followers will enjoy their first look at To Love Somebody. I can’t wait to release it! (Maybe another week, at the most). Thank you again for having me here! 🙂 ❤

Thank you so much, Teri! My best friend is a graphics designer–how lucky am I? She always “gets” exactly what I’m asking for, and does such a great job on all my covers. So glad you like this one. (I do, too. 🙂 ) The book will probably be released within the week, if I can get my formatter (me) to hurry up! 😉 Hope you’ll enjoy it, if you get a chance to check it out.
