Author Inspiration and This Week’s Writing Links

Are you sick of me asking where the week went? I am. But I still can’t believe how fast the days are passing. (I’d say I sound like an old lady, but my kids would agree too quickly. And enthusiastically.)words and sunbeams

Anyway, this week’s post spoke to me because I spent a good chunk of my time editing. After the weekend is over, I’m looking forward to getting back to writing. My WIPs are calling me.

This week, though, writing took a backseat. Somehow, many of my clients were ready for edits at the same time. Doesn’t happen often, but when it does, I have to put my own work aside. I don’t really mind. While I’m itching to get back to my writing, the break is usually helpful to my creativity.

I thought this quote was beautiful. And appropriate for my workweek. I hope it spoke to you, as well.

Wishing you a happy weekend. For many of us, it’s a three-day weekend, so it’s already starting on a high note!

  1. A wonderful quote, Staci and perfect for when editing – I’ll keep this in mind!

Yep, the weeks seem to fly by and I’m worried because my son and his friends say the same! Time should feel long to the young, they should feel as they’re savouring the moments!

Thanks for all the links, a terrific selection and one I look forward to looking through. Hope you’re having a great long weekend. xx

  2. No, Staci I think the same thing every week….where did it go? It’s crazy! Hope you get back to your writing soon and have a wonderful weekend!

  3. I was feeling kind of “off” with an upset stomach yesterday and wishing it was Friday, so in that respect the week kind of dragged for me. Feeling much better now and looking forward to the long three day weekend. Wishing you happy writing and some relaxation in there too. I’ve got yard work planned (and hopefully opening the pool if the weather cooperates) so I’m not sure I’ll get much writing done but I hope to squeeze in a some!

    1. Sorry you weren’t feeling well. Glad you’re better.

They started opening our pool yesterday, but (what a surprise) they got rained out and have to come back and finish. Hopefully today, but it’s already cloudy. If it’s going to rain all summer, I wonder if I should even bother!

  4. I love the quote, Staci! I can’t believe that we’re almost at the half year mark, and most weeks have gone just like this one, lols. Here’s to a peaceful weekend. Thanks for some wonderful links! 🙂

  5. Awesome quote! And many thanks for including my blog here 🙂
Like you, I have no idea where this week went. It just zoomed past me. I just hope we have a restful weekend–the wee one’s been waking up at 4 am lately and keeping us up for a couple of hours, so nothing’s guaranteed!

    1. Glad to do it. 🙂

It’s been many years since I had wee ones waking me. Of course, my kids are in college (and are both home for the summer) and they can sometimes get loud while having fun, so … I guess some things never change.

Try to have a restful weekend!
