I think Fridays are coming faster and faster. Especially as the year is winding down. Advent has started, the preparation season before Christmas, and I’m definitely preparing for many things.
I am in a festive mood. I’m incredibly busy, but I’m also very happy. That’s one of the reasons why this quote spoke to me this week.
The imagery of dancing is joyous. The concept of transcending contentious opinion in favor of something imaginative and freeing inspires me. There are too many negative messages out there. I’ve been guilty of a whine or complaint, myself.
But I expect better from me. And I want better for all of us.
This week, I began a new project. And I heard from my editor regarding my last project. The editor is one-quarter of the way through the novel and is thrilled with it. And the new project, despite taking on a life of its own, is off to a great start. My Christmas shopping is almost done, and I’ve got big plans for 2018. (More on that later this month.) Why not be joyous? It’s the most wonderful time of the year, after all.
Wishing you an inspired day!
Living beyond opinion would be freeing.
Enjoy this month!!

I think so, too, Eliza. Something for us to shoot for, I suppose.
Happy Sunday!

As crazy as this time of year can be, I love the hustle-bustle and the festive spirit of the holidays. You’ve accomplished a lot this year, and 2018 is sure to bring more successes. I look forward to your new projects. In the meantime, enjoy all those busy festivities and soar on the positive. Like you said….there are too many negatives. We have to embrace the good wherever we find it. Merry Christmas!

It’s certainly been a year of ups and downs, but I’m in a festive mood, too. The house is decorated, the shopping is almost done, and I’ll be baking cookies and wrapping gifts soon. Christmas music is pretty much a constant here right now. I know we’ll be talking, but still, in the spirit of the season, wishing you and yours a happy holiday!

I’m excited to hear about your new projects, Staci. You’re right – such a busy time of year, and so much to be thankful for. Especially having the kids home from school for a little while!

My kids have started finals, so they’ll be around really soon. The nice thing about college is that their break is longer. Looking forward to that time together, even if it means less writing work for a while.

So true, Staci. In spite of all that has happened this year (to both our families), we still have so much to be joyful for. Wishing you a happy holiday season and best wishes for 2018.
