I’ve been largely absent online this week. It was my daughter’s high school commencement, and family has been in town. A great time was had by all.
The last of our guests is leaving Friday morning (tomorrow as I write this; today as you read it). They’re being incredibly patient with me as I clear out a week of neglected emails and type up this post.
But I really must hurry. I don’t get to see family often, and I’d like to make the most of this short amount of time.
Here are the things I’d like to share this week from the sites I’m affiliated with:
- On Monday at Story Empire, C. S. Boyack provided readers with a self-publishing checklist. Find this valuable information here.
- Tuesday was commencement. I didn’t post anything. Sorry.
- On Wednesday at Story Empire, P. H. Solomon offered a tip for typing faster in Scrivener. Find that advice here.
- Thursday saw K. E. Lane offer the first five of ten tips to improve a manuscript. You can find those tips here.
So that was our week in a nutshell. I hope you’ll check out the great content above, and indulge me while I share a few more pics. π Have a great weekend!

Such a special time for your family, Staci! Thanks for sharing these beautiful pictures and the weblinks too! π

Love the cap decoration. It reveals character, and could be handy in a story one day.

You know, I never even considered cap decoration for character development (because I’ve never written YA before), but you’re absolutely right. And some of those caps… you wouldn’t believe it. It was enlightening!

Maybe I’m zeroed in because of the outline I’m working on.

That means you’re in the zone! (And I’ll take a good idea no matter where it comes from or what motivates it.)

Congrats to your daughter, Staci! This will be me next Friday – my youngest graduates from high school. Glad you got some quality time with your family.

Thanks, Teri. Last year was my son (our oldest) and that was hard. This year is my youngest, and that’s hard, too! But I’m very proud of both of them.
Good luck with your graduation next week, and congratulations to you and your youngest.

Congratulations again, Staci! I must have missed that your daughter has a tennis scholarship. Wow… how exciting (from a tennis dad to a tennis mom)!
Thanks for the writing reading (π) and the pictures of your beautiful family. Enjoy the last precious moments with everyone before they leave.
